Birth- A Photo Essay

Your story, told through pictures

Few events eclipse the birth of your child.  The wonder of the final push, that first cry, those tiny feet, the look on a new parent’s face when baby is placed in their arms…  What better way to document these moments than through a series of professional photographs?

As a mother of three, I understand how intimate a birth is for families.   With extreme respect, compassion, and a “fly on the wall” approach I artistically document the most wonderful day of your life.  I work hard to capture everything that will help tell your story beautifully through the pictures.  I often hear from ‘my moms’ is that they can’t imagine not having the slideshow after they view it. It really is a very touching moment for them.

Details

The first step is to schedule a free consultation at a location of your choice.  At that time we will discuss what elements of your labor, delivery & first hours are most important to you.  The consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and answer any questions we might have for one another.

A $150.00 deposit is required to book your Birth Documentary.  After booking your session, I will be on call for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Due to the varied cell phone coverage in the southwest VA area, I have a dedicated pager that works anywhere  and keep it with me full time. You or your partner will contact me once you go into labor.  I will come to your chosen place of birth (be it hospital, home or birth center) and photograph the labor, delivery and first hours of your baby’s life.  I document the birth in a manner that is as unobtrusive as possible.

Cost – $600

Photographic Birth Documentary includes

*Liz’s time – pre-birth consultation, 24 hours a day on call

*Liz’s talent and expertise

*Edited Full Resolution Images on DVD with Copyright Release (typically anywhere from 200-500 images)

*Custom made DVD slideshow set to music from selected finished images (Provided both online for family/friend sharing & a hard copy packaged and delivered to you)
